Kenyans living in Scotland will be able to access government services in Dundee during a two-day Mobile Consular Services exercise organised by the Kenya High Commission on 3 and 4 August 2026.

The outreach will take place on Monday 3 and Tuesday 4 August from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day. The venue has not yet been confirmed, but the High Commission said details will be announced through its official communication channels in the coming weeks.

The mobile exercise forms part of the High Commission's efforts to make consular services more accessible to Kenyans living outside London. It is intended to reduce the need for citizens to travel long distances for routine services.

A range of consular services will be available during the exercise, including passport applications, national identity card processing, emergency travel documents, and applications for citizenship and dual nationality. Parents will also be able to register the births of children born abroad and apply for duplicate birth certificates.

Applicants requiring passport services have been advised to complete their applications online through the eCitizen portal before attending. They must bring printed copies of their application forms, invoices and all required supporting documents. Those seeking other services have been encouraged to review the relevant procedures and document requirements on the High Commission's website before the event.

Unlike services offered at the High Commission's offices in London, the Dundee outreach will operate on a first-come, first-served basis. The arrangement is expected to make the process easier for people who are unable to secure appointments in advance.

The Kenya High Commission has regularly organised mobile consular programmes in different parts of the United Kingdom to improve access to government services for citizens living outside the capital. These exercises support the government's efforts to maintain closer links with the Kenyan diaspora while making essential documentation services more accessible.

Access to documents such as passports, identity cards and birth certificates is important for employment, education and international travel. By bringing these services closer to communities in Scotland, the outreach aims to make the application process more convenient for Kenyans living in the region.

The High Commission is expected to announce the venue and any additional requirements before the exercise. Kenyans planning to attend have been advised to prepare their documents in advance and follow official updates to ensure their applications can be processed smoothly.
