Kenya Embassy in Paris Hiring Consular Assistant at €1,980 Monthly Salary
The Embassy of Kenya in Paris is recruiting a Consular Assistant, with applications open to Kenyans legally resident in France until Friday, 4 September 2026.
The successful candidate will support a range of consular services, including the processing of travel documents, birth registrations, certificates of good conduct and document authentication requests. The role will also involve assisting Kenyans with French legal and administrative procedures, including marriage, divorce, driving licences and death certificates.
Other responsibilities include maintaining diaspora records, managing correspondence and providing translation between French and English. Knowledge of Kiswahili will be an added advantage. Applicants must hold at least a bachelor’s degree and have previous experience in public relations, customer service or office administration.
They must have strong communication skills, be fluent in English and French, and be competent in standard office software. The embassy said applicants must have valid residency in France and legal authorisation to work in the country.
The position pays a monthly salary of €1,980. Working hours are from 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be entitled to 30 days of annual leave, public holidays and compensatory days for weekend duties.
The appointment is expected to take effect immediately after the successful candidate is selected. The embassy said only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
Applicants must submit a cover letter and CV, including details of two referees, to parisreception@mfa.go.ke by Friday, 4 September 2026. The recruitment is part of efforts by Kenya’s diplomatic missions to strengthen services for citizens living abroad.
A dedicated consular assistant is expected to help improve access to essential services and assist Kenyans in navigating both Kenyan and French administrative requirements.
