Death Announcement: Njau Waira of Atlanta, Georgia
It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing on of Njau Waira (Wakamau) on Sunday, August 30, at Kneswa Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, following a brave battle with cancer.
The late Njau Waira is survived by his beloved wife, Hannah Ruguru, and his children, Julius Mugweru (Kenya), Sacha Waira and Tasha Wathaya (USA).
He was the beloved son of the late Hon. Waira Kamau and Mrs. Gladwell Wathayia Kamau of Kenya. He was son-in law to the late Mr. Mwaura Karanja and Mrs Wairimu Mwaura.
He was a cherished brother to the late Kamau Waira, late Waruiru Waira, Late Babu Waira, Damaris Gatugi (USA), Nganga Waira, Mwaura Waira (Formerly USA) and late Mungai Waira.
He was a beloved brother-in-law to Karanja Mwaura (“Senator”) (USA) and Jane Njeri Kimani (USA), he was cousin to Waruiru Njau, Kangara Njau and Florence Njoki all of USA among others.
He was an uncle and a grandpa to many.
Mr. Waira was a respected community leader who loved and served his community selflessly. His kindness, leadership, generosity, and commitment to others touched many lives. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the entire community.
