Search for Missing Kenyan Man in the UK Continues

Police in the UK are still searching for a 26-year-old Kenyan man who went missing last month. Gabriel Kariuki was last seen by his mum on May 17th in the Grange Road area of Hartlepool.
There was another sighting of him in the early hours of May 18th at Victoria Road in Hartlepool, close to Loons public house. He is thought to have been walking towards the Marina.
Police later released CCTV images showing a man believed to be Gabriel boarding a train to Middleborough at 8.28 am on May 18th.
Anyone with information on Gabriel’s whereabouts were asked to contact Cleveland police.
“Inquiries to locate Gabriel are ongoing and we continue to provide support to his family at this very difficult time. We would again appeal for anyone who has seen Gabriel or who knows of his whereabouts to contact Cleveland Police immediately via the 101 number,” a spokesperson for Cleveland Police said.
On the day he went missing, Gabriel was wearing a blue corduroy jacket with a cream shearling collar, black tracksuit bottoms, a green hooded top underneath the jacket, and orange Nike brand trainers. He also had a black backpack with him.
Police also suspect he might have taken a train to Birmingham and Luton where he has friends.
“We’re in close contact with Gabriel’s mum who is understandably very distressed and says it is absolutely out of character for her son to not be in contact with her,” said detective Superintendent John Bent, who is leading the missing person inquiry.
"She was already concerned about the fact he was experiencing a low mood in recent weeks. Gabriel was living with his mum and they have a close relationship.”
