As a nursing student at Carl Sandburg College in Illinois, Joan was known for her dedication and passion both in her studies and athletics. Her life was cut short on December 26, 2024, in a fatal accident, which left both her family and peers in shock. The community of Chebarbar in Kapsabet, Nandi County, is now preparing for her funeral as they seek to honour her memory.
