President William Ruto has always been a sight to behold when it comes to his choice of vehicle during national events.
On Thursday, November 9, the President made his way to Parliament Buildings in Nairobi for the State of the Nation address. Despite his previous promises of cost-cutting measures, the President arrived in a rather extravagant manner, straying from his usual Toyota Lexus LX-570 and Land Cruiser 300 series. Instead, he opted for a Monaco blue Mercedes-Benz Maybach S600 Pullman. As the motorcade discreetly moved along the cleared Uhuru Highway, onlookers and fellow drivers couldn't resist stealing glances of admiration. The police outriders maintained a diamond formation, ensuring the safety of the Commander-in-Chief.
A long procession of BMWs with flashing lights and sirens sandwiched the highly sought-after German Maybach, known all over the world for its impressive blend of modern innovative engineering and ageless retro styling attributes. This stunning oasis on wheels (valued at over Sh160 million post-taxes) is not just a status symbol of fame and fortune. Those fortunate enough to have driven this classy vehicle recall having experienced an adrenaline rush from the way the car gracefully takes firm corners that would make physics gurus gasp in disbelief.
In this review, our focus falls on the luxurious Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Pullman, a luxurious gem within the Mercedes family lineup that embodies exclusiveness, extravagance and sheer opulence. Discover the pinnacle of the S-Class range, where the Pullman reigns supreme, offering an extended wheelbase and an array of exclusive features. Prepare to embark on an in-depth exploration that encompasses every aspect of this extraordinary vehicle.
Exterior Design
The Pullman showcases an elegant design, boasting a lengthened wheelbase that exudes the utmost prestige and sophistication. Its opulent aesthetic is further enhanced by the iconic Mercedes-Maybach grille, sleek contours, and understated chrome accents. Notably, every window is coated with a layer of armoured polycarbonate, ensuring the highest level of security.
Interior Design
However, the true essence of the Maybach Pullman lies within its interior, where luxury knows no bounds. This sanctuary provides an ultra-sumptuous and immensely spacious environment, typically furnished with four rear seats that face one another. The cabin is adorned with impeccable materials, including supple premium leather, exquisite wood veneers, and refined metal accents, culminating in an atmosphere of pure indulgence. For the utmost comfort, the Pullman provides a range of luxurious features such as seats that can be heated, ventilated, and even give massages. Each person who rides in this vehicle is guaranteed to be spoiled and indulged.
Seating Configuration
In terms of the seating arrangement, the Pullman, measuring 21.3 feet in length, often includes a lavish and distinctive rear compartment. This setup allows passengers to sit facing each other, creating a VIP-style atmosphere. The rear seats may also come equipped with power-adjustable functions, the ability to recline, and individual entertainment systems, ensuring that everyone on board can relax and enjoy their journey to the fullest.
Performance
The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Pullman is powered by a formidable V12 twin-turbo engine which delivers impressive performance despite the car's substantial size. Additionally, its fuel tank has a capacity of 500 litres, giving it an extensive range for long journeys. To ensure a balanced weight distribution, the Pullman's maximum speed is electronically limited to 210 km/h. Interestingly, despite its hefty weight of 5,600 kg, it can accelerate to 100 km/h in a mere 7.9 seconds. When cruising along the road, it effortlessly transforms into a rapid display of energy in motion. The driving encounter is a seamless and sophisticated one, effortlessly manoeuvring through corners even at high speeds. Thanks to its advanced suspension systems, passengers can relish every second of their ride in absolute comfort and control.
Security and Safety
Safety is of utmost importance in the Mercedes-Maybach Pullman, as it is equipped with an extensive range of safety features. These include advanced driver-assistance systems, a comprehensive airbag system, and reinforced body structures. Additionally, the car offers enhanced privacy and security features, providing occupants with a protected environment.
Price and Exclusivity
The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Pullman is positioned as the pinnacle of luxury vehicles, and its price tag reflects this. Its exclusivity and limited production make it highly sought after by luxury car enthusiasts and collectors alike. In conclusion, the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Pullman is the epitome of luxury, comfort, and exclusivity. It is designed for those who have the highest expectations and demand nothing less than the best.

And where are The HUSTLERS that Used to Hustle for RUTO on this Mwakilishi?

*Na mambo Bado!!!
All that opulence and wastage in a country where a fourth of the population is lucky to eat a single meal a day.
All that opulence and wastage in a country where a fourth of the population is lucky to eat a single meal a day.
As someone once said, those who feel less spend more. This is abuse of country's resources and a mockery to kenyans who live between hand and mouth. This man has become a political-prostitute-world-traveller spending millions of tax payers money yet, Unga still costs more than Ksh 100/packet. Unga should never go beyond 100 bob in an agricultural country like Kenya. This man is hostile to our economy and an enabler of corruption.
..address the cost of fuel first nani....
Just goes to show the wastage of resources on unnecessary luxuries.Proof that all the money in Kenya can't buy a chicken farmer class. Is this type of luxury vehicles spacious enough inside to accommodate the size of our politician's ego though?
I don't Know how to Say this. But anyway:

@ Gilbert Masitsa, give them some slack.I just clicked your link to see who they are,and I think probably one blogger is responsible for running it.And as such, one does not have to adhere to strict journalistic protocol.
It's free so what do you expect. If you paid to read, then I would see why you have a bone to pick...
Mwakilishi is free too,and that's why they dont clean the posts. Most of what is posted here would not make it to Daily Nation,or Standard. They clean, edit, and reduct their"shit".
When Mwananchi is having a damn hard time to have a meal, let a lone a 3 square meal aday ,it is an insult for the man who could do something about it ostentatiously displays such opulence, and extravagance.
Former Uruguayan president Jose, Mujica use a1987 VW as a means of transportation. At one time a rich sheik from Saudi offered him $1 million for it.He said if he were to sell it at that price, he would devote all the money to homeless course...
Why don't our African presidents follow this great man's 'nyayo'?
Think of how much money would go to good causes if our Mpigs, and the president's entourage "down graded" to Toyota Corollas... For starters, that would put a broad smile on faces of alot of mwananchi...when they are being told to tighten their belts,by the same Ruto.
Yes, why cann't they be trail blazers, and trendsetters.Aren't they tired of being copycats?
As a descendant of Mūmbi and knowing my brethren's affinity for the Probox, I'd suggest he modify one of those or for off-road a Hiace 4x4. Pickups are also a great mode of transportation in addition to being really useful for hauling all kinds of things - stones for a riot or football game, miraa from Meru, rice from Mwea, tea, coffee, goats, chickens, the list is endless.
@ Mundumugo,you have my vote.
The money saved down to TOYOTAs will not be put to good use for the poor.It will some how find its way back in the pockets of the Mpigs, and their cronies.
WaSwahili husema:
" Asiyesikia la wakuu, mwishowe huvunjika guu."
Still baffles me people voted for this guy!
He is the President of the REPUBLIC OF KENYA.
I'm missing something here. Does being president mean he is free to waste or are you saying he wants to be seen to be presidential? Will he get there any slower if he is driven in a cheaper vehicle. If he arrives in a used Majesta, LS 600h or a Crown, we will still know it's Ruto and that he's the president of Kenya. Even better, fuel consumption, maintenance etc will be affordable. This screams of conspicuous consumption. When Kenya's GDP hits a trillion $$$ then he get his own Beast.
And you are buried six under without all what you stole from the poor and most vulnerable. And the only thing the foolish masses will remember you for, who without shame, day-in night-out trumpeted Azimio and Kwanza ideologies, is how you religiously impoverished them, giving yourself unbelievable and unmistaken luxurious life. Claiming Uhuru stole all the money, then wondering where this luxury and wastage is emanating from. Using every resources to protect yourself so that the spirit of illness or death do not come any close to you. I wish these people remember the last days of Moi, Biwott, Ole Ntimama, Shariff Nassir, Nyongo, Sonko, Kaa ngumu kama Ngumo, JJ Kamotho, Bargetuny, Koros, Salat, Kones, Lebosos, Mama Steel, Chotara, Kihonge, Kibor, Koinange, Kenyatta, Kenyatta, Mahihu, Mathenge, Nyachae, Lotondo, Angaine, and the rest of those who plundered our economy during KANUs rule, grabbing anything on their way. They all used the best doctors from the best countries, to stop their sufferings and death.
Brethren, if you can live the MjuAji way, eating what is yours, working for what is yours, hardly having more than 4 hours of sleep, yet annually strolling the beaches of Virginia or Myrtle beach etc to wash away the pains and tribulations of some doubles, all will be fine.
Kilicho chako na utafunacho chako ni kitamu kakangu. Egemea upande huo huo wa MjuAji.
WaKENYA MtaLia😭Haaaaaah! Na Bado haMjaVuna biBaya mliPanda kwa Ruto. MtaLia😭Haaaaaah!!!!
At some level Socialist or Communist states would oppose any form of opulence. Kenyas Capitalism does not. We have had as far as recent times that the president was riding on a fleet of Range Rovers.
I don’t find the president in any way wrong if he chose to buy a Maybach using his own money.
Whether we ride on horses or Toyota Corolla’s will make very little change on those who want to sit and wait for socialistic form of governance.
@ Ole, I am sure you will agree with me that, If this was happening in one of those G7 rich and powerful countries we would not raise an eye brow. The issue here is using our scarce resources wisely,or for the maximum out put, regardless of the system of governance.Lazy people will always be lazy under any system.
I watched Ruto motorcade on the day in question and I didn't see any Mercedes Maybach. The president was riding in a regular 380 S class. Does the writer of this story have any pictures to back his story? The photo above is NOT that of a Mercedes Maybach. And while we're on the Maybach story, Mike Sonko was recently shown posing with a Maybach, so it's not such a big deal after all??
It's not a big deal if you're using your own hard earned(not stolen) or in Sonko's case(drug) money. If however, you are use my cousin Njeri's, Aunt Muthoni, or sister Wankjiku's tax shillings, the iko shida. Remember this same individual recently said waKenya would need to live within their means. This isn't helping
I sincerely admire the former president of Uruguay for leading a simple life despite spending sometime in jail for his revolutionary past activities.
Ndugu Jose Mujica who served as the 40th president of Uruguay from 2010 to 2015 owns a VW Beetle. Currently, he lives in a one-bedroom house! Why can't Ndugu Samoei Cherop (name of his mother) Ruto lead a simple life as a citizen of a very poor country of Kenya?
In majority of our COHO traditions, you are not addressed using your father's name. That is the reason why I called him Ndugu Samoei while majority of the people of Kenya address him using his father's name. Calling him Ruto is following the colonial tradition where the British address you with you using your father's name.
@Ndugu Imara Daima, yes, this a principled man.A man of integrity. Add Nelson Mandela to that list.He said he would serve only one term, and he did.And could have perfectly been excuse, had he sorted out a second term, like many african leaders do;Just change the constitution ,when you need to continues getting drunk with power.
Your tax money at work!
They’ll now tax your cat, dog, cow, goat, sheep, and chickens!
@ Ndugu Maxiley:
You are right. Ndugu Rolihlahla Madiba Mandela of South COHO and Ndugu Borito Kambarage Nyerere of Tanzania belong to the list of a few exceptional self-less leaders of the world who became leaders to serve humanity.
Poor KENYAns at👺RUTO's Mercy(less)ness.
