US Congratulates Uhuru, Ruto on Inauguration for a Second Term

The United States has congratulated President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto on their inauguration for a second term.

The US State Department, through its spokesperson Heather Nauert says the US and Kenya have been steadfast partners for decades, and that the US looks forward to “strengthening and renewing the bilateral partnership in the years ahead.”

The US also calls for Kenyans to come together and heal the divisions between communities and to uphold the constitution.
