National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga has denied claims that he is using the planned swearing in as people's president to negotiate for a coalition government with President Kenyatta.
Speaking during an interview with Voice of America (VoA), the opposition leader instead said he wants to be in charge of the full government, insisting that he won August 8th, 2017 presidential elections.
“We’re not using the swearing-in as a basis of negotiating with Uhuru Kenyatta. We have said in fact that we don’t want any stake in Uhuru Kenyatta government. We want to be the ones who are in government," Raila told VoA.
He further said he is open to dialogue with President Kenyatta, but maintained it must be premised on electoral justice, judicial independence, police reforms, devolution and restructuring the executive.
He said that dialogue is the only thing that can stop him from taking oath of office on January 30th. "We say that if we cannot talk by January 30 we are going to be sworn in. And we will then release our program thereafter," he added.

We want to be the ones who are in government," Raila told VoA. You have to wait for the next election August 9th 2022, am sure you are aware that there is a government in place. 2017 August 8th was annulled and NASA was on the streets cerebrating, so sit back and enjoy the ride.
Baba do not be fooled by Kamwana the house called Jubilee is crumbling look at what is going on in Nairobi county.Kidero must be having the time of his life watching the "circus" . Kamwana is yet to name his dream cabinet after promising everyone including his grandmother a plum job in the "new govt".Things are slowly but surely falling apart.
One thing is clear, Raila Amollo Odinga will never be president. You can cry blood, wail out naked, bring the sun and moon together for tea, or even summer and winter for a beer, Raila Amollo Odinga will NEVER be president, get used to it... and the curse continues.
The same rule of law that Raila is seeking is the same one he is going against. Prior to to the elections the two principals agreed to address their electoral grievances through the supreme Court should there arise a need. Well Raila was the one who went to the supreme Court. A ruling was made. And that's law. Now the same Raila is going against the the abiding law yet seeking for justice and independence of judiciary.
Let's teach our children that in every competition there shall come winners and losers. And to look up for tomorrow to fight again. The irony is that in this Kenya everyone is winner despite the obvious. One may want to look up the electoral cases filed by the losers after the year 2017 elections.
Me thinks it is UK who has the privilege of saying he does not want to share power with you. He has the power, while you, fake Joshua doesn't. But since you have the microphone, enjoy your few minutes of limelight before you come tumbling down like Humpty Dumpty.
