DCI Wants to Arrest Me for Murder of IEBC Official, MP Babu Owino Claims

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino claims there is a plan to arrest him over the murder of IEBC official Daniel Mbolu Musyoka.

Owino said he recently received a call from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) to record a statement at Embakasi police station over Musyoka’s death.

“A day before the Jacaranda rally, I was called by DCI at Embakasi police station then they informed me that I should go and record a statement about the death of the former returning officer Daniel Musyoka,” said Owino.

“I was informed by one of the officers that you know we are being told that next week anytime you will be arrested.”

The second-term MP further alleged that cars belonging to DCI officers have been patrolling around his home.

“I passed by my home where I stay I saw some two Subarus moving around there but I want to ask Ruto and Rigathi they said very well that they will not use police officers for political reasons, why are they using them?” Owino posed.

Musyoka, who was the Returning Officer for Embakasi East Constituency, went missing from the East Africa School of Aviation Tallying Centre during the August 9th general election before his lifeless body was found by herders in a river close to the Kilombero forest in Oloitoktok, Kajiado County a few days later.

An autopsy conducted on Musyoka’s body could not determine the cause of his death. Pathologists led by Dr. Dorothy Njeru said the murder was done in a 'professional manner'.

"We cannot ascertain the cause of death. No physical injuries point to the cause of death. We have collected samples from the body for further forensic analysis in a government laboratory," said Dr. Njeru.

Here is the problem @maxiley, those hunting Babu are not clean. They are known to have killed a good number of Kenyans in the past. You cant go after someone when you have committed similar crimes or worse. This selective method of politicians hunting others for the crimes they have also committed must stop.

When the truth comes out we won't be surprised to learn that Azimio had everything to do with the intimidation, harassment and murder of election workers. Let the inquiry be set up.

I smell smoke. I read of numerous people who have recorded various death related statements yet they have not been considered a murder suspect. Why go defensive?? if u have nothing to do with it.

Babu Owino do you want us to sympathize with you? Our hearts went to Musyoka's family. You quick rise from a pompous SONU leader to a notoriously proud MP who care less are now gone . You killed by sword, you die by sword bro!
