Kiambu Nominated Ward Representative Ezra Kabuga Kihara tragically passed away in a road accident on Thika Road in Juja on Sunday morning.
The incident occurred near Mangu High School in Juja as Kihara was travelling from Nairobi to Thika town. According to police reports, Kihara's Subaru Forester collided with the rear of an Isuzu FRR lorry, resulting in a catastrophic impact. The force of the collision was so severe that Kihara's vehicle caught fire, leading to his immediate death at the scene. Following the accident, his body was transferred to Montezuma Funeral Home, where it awaits postmortem examination.
Both vehicles involved in the collision have been impounded at a local police station for further investigation. Kiambu Governor Kimani Wamatangi has confirmed the heartbreaking news through his communications team and has taken to his official X page to express his profound sorrow. Wamatangi eulogized Kihara as a vibrant and promising young leader, emphasizing his commitment to public service and his efforts to improve the lives of Kiambu residents.
The governor praises Kihara's friendly demeanour and kind nature and further regrets the loss to both the County Assembly and the community at large. Kihara was known for his dedication to youth empowerment, education, and infrastructure development. His position as a nominated ward representative allowed him to advocate effectively for various issues affecting Kiambu residents. Colleagues in the County Assembly have shared memories of his hard work and commitment.

Wamatangi said on his official X page.
