PS Sing'Oei Threatens Legal Action Over Miguna's Wealth Allegations

Foreign Affairs Principal Secretary PS Korir Sing'Oei has announced his intention to pursue legal action against lawyer Miguna Miguna following contentious statements made by the latter.
This comes after Miguna Miguna alleged that PS Sing'Oei had acquired a Sh150 million residence in Karen shortly after assuming his role as a state officer. Responding to these claims via social media, PS Sing'Oei has challenged Miguna Miguna to substantiate his assertions, emphasizing that the burden of proof lies with the accuser. The PS firmly states that in the absence of evidence, he would seek legal recourse against what he terms as "serious and unfounded allegations."
The controversy escalated when Miguna Miguna further claimed that PS Sing'Oei had amassed over 150 cattle at his homestead since taking office. Miguna Miguna questioned the sudden appearance of such wealth, suggesting that it was not evident before Sing'Oei's appointment as Principal Secretary. Additionally, the lawyer called for an explanation regarding the alleged cash purchase of the multi-million shilling property in Karen, asserting that these matters were of significant public interest.
PS Sing'Oei had previously shared images on social media depicting himself engaged in agricultural activities at his farm in Kitale, Trans Nzoia County. These posts, which showed the PS herding cattle and harvesting maize, initially garnered positive reactions from online users. However, they subsequently became the focal point of Miguna Miguna's allegations. Miguna Miguna, known for his provocative statements and confrontations with government officials, has once again found himself at the centre of a high-profile dispute.
