Kalonzo Musyoka Joins Kiambu Residents in Celebrating Uhuru Kenyatta's 63rd Birthday

Former President Uhuru Kenyatta celebrated his 63rd birthday on Saturday, October 26th.
Although Uhuru was abroad attending the 15th High-Level Retreat on the Promotion of Peace, Security, and Stability in Africa in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, local leaders and residents in Kiambu organized a celebration to mark the occasion. During the Monday event, Kiambu residents and leaders, including Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, gathered to commemorate Uhuru's birthday. They cut a cake branded with the former President's name and sang birthday songs, wishing him well as he turns 63. Accompanying Kalonzo were other politicians such as Maina Njenga and Ferdinand Waititu.
Kalonzo has addressed concerns raised on social media about Uhuru's health, assuring the public that the former President is well and healthy. He notes that Uhuru was on his way back from Congo, where he had attended the Abidjan retreat in his capacity as the facilitator of the East Africa Community (EAC)-led Nairobi peace process. In a phone interview with Milele FM on Saturday, Uhuru confirmed that he was doing well and at peace. He expressed gratitude to God for another year and prayed for the continued peace and unity of Kenyans. Uhuru also mentioned that his favorite meal is 'nyama choma,' though he has had to cut down on it due to his age.
“I'm well; I'm at peace and I'm grateful to God. I'm praying for peace and understanding in our nation, as this is the only way our country will grow and prosper. Nowadays, I do not speak much but I wish peace and unity to Kenyans. We all should know that we are human beings and have needs. we should stop hatred among each other,” the former President said.
The birthday celebration was marked by joy and camaraderie, with leaders and residents coming together to honour Uhuru's contributions to the nation.
