Raila's Arrival from the US Disrupts Operations at JKIA

Kenya Airways has regretted the disruption of operations at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) as a result of inconveniences by the arrival of National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga.

In a statement on Friday, KQ promised to re-book for free travelers who might have been inconvenienced by the traffic on Mombasa road occasioned by the arrival of the opposition leader from Germany.

"KQ has been impacted by the disruption on Mombasa Road, with some guests departing from JKIA missing their flights," the airline said in a statement on Friday.

"Any guest who will miss their flight will be re-booked on the next one, at no fee," KQ said. "This applies to all guests travelling before 6pm, from JKIA, for tickets purchased on or prior to Friday."

Early morning, police were forced to lobe teargas canisters to disperse Nasa supporters who gathered near the airport waiting for the arrival of Odinga.

Raila arrived JKIA at around 11:30 am and was received by some leaders in the opposition and thousands of supporters outside the facility as he returned from a 10-day trip to the US.

Raila, Nasa leaders and supporters then trooped to Olympic stadium in Kibera where he is expected to address a public rally.

Among leaders who welcomed Raila included Siaya Senator James Orengo, MPs Babu Owino, Ken Okoth, Gladys Wanga, Esther Passaris, his brother Oburu Odinga and former Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant Miguna Miguna among others.

I posted elsewhere about the selfishness of these mafisi. If passengers from KQ were impacted, God knows of the other airlines. Awful! Congestion on roads leading to the airport is horrendous at the best of times, and I often get stressed when caught out on these. Sasa imagine how it must have been when caught up among these busy bodies holding the country to ransom. They are a security threat and I hope the Police came down heavily on them by way of arrest. I am enraged!! In fact the whole shenanigans post elections are pissing me off. By the time this is all done, it will be time for the next elections, i.e 2022! I go a step father and say they should be given what they want, i.e - divide their regions to their country, lakini wasithubutu to come knocking for chumvi to season their fish, if you know what I mean!

Are we back to the 1960s and 1970s when passangers arriving from abroad expected villagers to welcome them at the airport? This is 2017! Raila could have taken Uber to Karen to avoid inconviniencing other travellers. These NASA nuts will even position their nasals in Raila's butt to inhale his noxious fart. Nonesense it. Give Kenya a break.

Chief goon is back with a bang! Vehicles burnt, businesses looted and loyalists beat and shot at. Some will cheer as others count their losses. The script will continue, until someone takes decisive action to end this total madness.

Kony is back and as usual had to cause losses to people's businesses from Airlines to Mama Mboga to innocent motorists. So the goons walk all the way to airport, Kony get driven with a gas guzzler to a probably a 4 star hotel to relax, freshen up and eat a hot wonderful meal, meanwhile his wafuasi are still walking back to Kibera stoning innocent people along the way, empty stomachs and wait for the speech from their Master. Thereafter, Kony goes to his enclave in Karen, goons go back to their shacks with nothing to show for it and another day dawns. What a shame!

If I were the government of Kenya, I would arrest and charge the man with terrorisms, destruction of properties and risking lives. The changes would maximum charges would involve treason. I am asking Uhuru and Ruto to take charges and make sure Raila pays. It a matter of time and this guy will finally face the full wrath

NASA should be charged for inciting. BTW, where is Uhuru and Ruto when all this is happening. Why are they behaving like they are on house arrest like guka Mugabe. As an elected president, does Uhuru not have a say in national security issues? Lawyers in the house, enlighten please!

Uhuru/Ruto are the one who send the police to block the road.If you let them walk in peace there is no mvutano.
Also KQ always cancels flight ,if you have travelled you should know regular travellers avoid kenya airways since they are always disorganised.
