Miguna Miguna Reveals Raila's 'Big Mistake'
Former Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant Miguna Miguna has blasted National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga for "rejecting" alleged plans to swear him in as President.
The opposition leader is said to have turned down the plan during a meeting held a meeting at the Maanzoni Lodge in Machakos County on Saturday.
There was a plan to hold a parallel swearing-in ceremony where Raila would take Oath of Office as President Uhuru's inauguration takes place on Tuesday at Moi International Sports Center, Kasarani.
Miguna, Siaya senator James Orengo, former senators Johnstone Muthama (Machakos), Boni Khalwale (Kakamega), Homa Bay Women Representative Gladys Wanga and Nasa Chief Executive Officer Norman Magaya are some of opposition leaders who were rooting for the swearing-in of Raila.
After reports emerged that Odinga had objected the plan, Miguna, who recently joined Nasa's National Resistance Movement (NRM) took to Twitter to express his disappointment.
“This is Raila Odinga’s big mistake. In 2011, Allasane Quattara bravely staked out the presidency of Côte d’Ivoire. Gambian president, Adama Barrow did the same in January, 2017. No one begs for power,” said Miguna.
Sources at the meeting said that the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leaders cited among others international reputation and respect for the constitution as the reasons why he refused to be sworn-in.

Why do this NRM rebels want Raila to get himself into irreversible trouble. They are certainly not Jubilee friends. They must have selfish agendas and Raila is the stepping stone to their power ambitions. If Raila has family, they should advise him to shake off his close advisors and embrace peace and humility. The sword he carries, he will fall on, urged by his grand lawyers.
