Kenyan Woman Found Dead in Her Apartment in Columbus, Ohio

A Kenyan woman in the United States has been found dead in her Columbus, Ohio apartment.

23-year-old Irine Mudagale Yonge reportedly collapsed and passed away on December 29th in her apartment in East Columbus, while preparing to report to work.

Her body was discovered a day later, after one of her workmates informed police that she had not reported to work and calls to her went unanswered. She hails from Makuchi Village, Vihiga County, where she will be laid to rest on January 27th.

The Highpoint High School of Hyattsville, Prince Georges County, Maryland graduate had relocated to Columbus from Maryland in September, 2015 in search of a job.

Until her death, she worked for Amazon in Columbus, Ohio. She was still pursuing Nursing course at the Columbus School of Practical Nursing and was scheduled to graduate this year.

Family and friends are making funeral arrangements in Maryland and Ohio.

Noo! Aiii vane. Why did she have to go to Columbus! Hiyo ni pahali baridi sana. These past 2 weeks have felt like hell in the Maryland area. I cant imagine how it was up north in Ohio. Its too extreme for the body. Yaani at times ive been cursing this bazungu weather and wanting to just rudi nyumbani.
May she RIP. BTW I think her name is Irene? Omuhana wa ingoo.. gone too soon.
