Orero High School in Homa Bay County registered an impressive mean score of 9.4134, just less than a point shy of its 10.283 target score.
All the 283 students who sat for the 2018 national exam at the institution has managed to secure a place to university.

Orero High School has beaten other academic powerhouses in Nyanza region including Maranda, Maseno, Kanga, Rapogi and Kisumu Girls, who have dominated the list of best KCSE performers in the region for decades.
The school's Principal Dicken Bula attributes the good results to discipline, handwork, and determination.
“Early syllabus coverage and hard work are some of the key efforts that enabled my school to get the good results,” says Bula.
