Two Kenya Airways Aircrafts Collide at JKIA

Airport safety officials have launched investigations into circumstances leading to the collision of two aircraft at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on Saturday.

The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) Director-General Gilbert Kibe says the two Embraer planes belonging to national carrier Kenya Airways collided while undergoing maintenance.

“We will find out what went wrong and we will mitigate to ensure it does not happen again," Captain Kibe says adding that no injuries have been reported.

Kibe says the incident could lead to disruption of services at JKIA, including cancellation of some flights.

“Some flights will likely be canceled. Every aeroplane has something that it’s doing every day. If two are not available, that will really mess up the schedule,” he says.

"We hope that the flights will come back to normal as soon as possible."

Take this news to the Chinese.
They own Kenya airways.
The direct flights to Newyork was pushed by the Chinese .

That’s why Uhuru Kenyatta gets summoned to China.A sell-out.

We want secession and the sellouts can continue being used by the Chinese to attack Americans specifically Barack Obama.

what a let down after launching direct flights to +1. Testing full engine throttle Kama kukanyaya mafuta maximum acceleration ..sema kukosa breaks?? This Brings KQ back to safety issues both Human and other fleets..those 2 planes are write off just get new ones..an expensive point of correction there.

"We hope that the flights will come back to normal as soon as possible." ?? solution lease order

Why are you feeling let down?
Are you the Chinese government???

Kenya Airways belongs to China. Stop getting attached to Chinese property.
Uhuru Kenyatta sold Kenya airways a long time ago.
That’s how they do their business. Cheap and inefficient.

This is so pathetic and disturbing;if our engineers CAN NOT prevent such an incidence on the ground, how can they be trusted in the sky?.What we are witnessing here is the effect of corruption. Most of these engineers bought their diplomas and this will kill KQ. That's why the Chinese are hesitating to hand over the SGR trains to the locals.

@njai Uhuru Kenyatta works for the Chinese government. He is a Complete sell-out.

Kenyans we are on our own.Which is wonderful.
It’s better to be on our own than to be controlled by the Government of China.

They should go take their scrap metal at KQ and stop disturbing us.

Are these engineers, "engine nears" or "engine hears" Professional development, training and certifications are important aspects of any profession. This qualifies for engineering gone wrong episode.
