Kenyan Student who Died in Her University Room in the US to Be Buried Saturday

Norah Borus Chelagat, a 24-year-old Kenyan student who was found dead in her university room in California earlier this month will be buried on Saturday.
The lifeless body of Ms. Borus was found in her on-campus room at Stanford University in California on Friday, June 14th.
Her family was allowed to airlift her remains to Kenya last weekend following a postmortem examination by Clara County Office of the Medical Examiner-Coroner. The cause of her death is yet to be made public.
A requiem mass for Ms. Norah was held on Thursday at the Africa Inland Church (AIC) in Lang’ata, Nairobi.
Speaking during the service, her father Dr. Peter Borus said he found an open Bible when he entered Norah's room at Stanford University.
“And I believe Norah was praying,” said Mr. Borus, who traveled to the US following her death.
Norah joined Stanford in 2014 to study Computer Science.
She was ranked as the top student in Nairobi County in the 2013 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination and fourth nationally.
Norah will be laid to rest at her family’s rural home in Uasin Gishu County on Saturday.

If Norah joined Stanford in 2014 (about 5yrs ago), she is supposed to have finished her Bachelors degree and doing her Masters (by the time she died). So sad.

She joined in 2015 not 2014 as reported. She was barely four years in the US at the point of her death.
I get it.👍
