Former KRA Boss John Njiraini Shortlisted for Coveted National Land Commission Chairman Job

Former Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) Commissioner-General John Njiraini has been shortlisted for the coveted National Land Commission (NLC) Chairperson position.
Njiraini was shortlisted for the position alongside 10 other candidates from a list of 117 applicants. The 11 are seeking to succeed former NLC Chairperson Muhammad Swazuri, who exited in February 2019 after his tenure expired.

NLC Selection Panel also listed 50 other candidates to fill in the positions of eight commissioners.
Among those battling for the vacant commissioners' posts include former Cabinet Secretary Kazungu Kambi, former Principal Secretary Dr. Khadijah Kassachon, NTSA Director-General Francis Meja and former NCPB boss Tirop Kosgey.
Others are former MPs Humphrey Njuguna (Gatanga), Esther Murugi (Nyeri Town), Tiya Galgalo (Isiolo Women Rep), Boniface Otsiula (Bumula) and Francis Nderitu (Ndaragwa) among others.
The 50 were shortlisted from a list of 940 applicants who showed interest to fill in the positions of the commissioners.
