Uhuru Imposes Nationwide Dusk to Dawn Curfew to Battle Covid-19

President Kenyatta has declared nationwide dusk to dawn curfew effective Friday, March 27th as part of the measures to combat the spread coronavirus.
Kenyatta, who addressed the nation from State House on Wednesday, said the restriction will run daily between 7 pm and 5 am.
Those who will be exempted from the 10-hour daily curfew include all medical professionals, all health workers, sanitation officers, administration officers, licensed pharmacies and drug stores, media personnel and Kenya Power & Lightening Company officers.
Others are food dealers, wholesalers and transporters of farm produce, supermarkets and mini-supermarkets, fuel distributors and retailers, telecommunication operators, banks and financial service providers, fire brigade and emergency response services and security companies.
Uhuru said the curfew was sanctioned by the National Security Council through Public Order Number 1 on the Coronavirus Pandemic.
During the address, Uhuru announced the country has recorded its first Covid-19 recovery, terming it a great step in the fight against the contagion.
He also said three new coronavirus cases have been confirmed, bringing the total number of infections to 28.

Does this mean the virus is not spread at night? Where is the logic. That list is too big also. This just another way for police to shake down poor kenyans while the big wigs continue with life as usual.

Just hanker down as instructed. The curfew is for every body - poor, rich and in- between! At times you just have to follow the orders that are given.
He should have locked down the entire country to keep every body isolated. Isolation seems to work.
What is your viable alternative @guest13 or you just want to bitch for nothing!???

My solution is massive testing and tracking. You know like they did in Taiwan, Singapore etc
Keep the country open. Curfew means people will try and do everything those few hours and crowding will happen. Common sense not just aping the western countries

It's really difficult to believe anything that comes out of Uhurus mouth and his Jubilee counterparts especially where the lives of Kenyans are involved. He has deeply screwed up the country it will probably never recover from his fuck-ups. While they gamble with people's lives God watch them, scrutinize them and punish them. Amen
