Moi's Son Philip Agrees to Settle Debt Owed to Former Italian Wife to Avoid Jail

Philip Moi has settled part of the Sh1.8 million debt owed to his former Italian wife Rossana Pluda to avoid being sent to jail.
Earlier this month, Justice Aggrey Muchelule ordered the officer commanding Muthaiga Police Station to appear before the court on Thursday to explain why Philip was yet to be arrested since April 2019 for failing to pay the money.
On Thursday, the judge was told that Philip, a son of former President Daniel Arap Moi, paid Sh405,000 with the balance to be settled within 30 days.
Philip and Rossana were involved in divorce proceedings that went all the way to the Appeals Court and after losing the case, he was ordered to pay his former wife Sh2.8 million as costs of the suit.
Philip paid Sh1 million in two installments but failed to settle the remaining Sh1,830,000. The parties had agreed that he pays the entire amount before March 29th, 2019.
Through her lawyer Judy Thongori, Rossana returned to court saying that Philip, a retired army officer, failed to comply with the directive.
On April 9th, 2019, the court issued a warrant of arrest against Philip to be executed by the officer in charge of Muthaiga police station.
Two years after the warrant was issued, Philip was yet to be arrested neither had he settled the debt, prompting the court to summon Muthaiga OCS to explain why he failed to execute the order.

The law is a donkey’s ass in Kenya conducted by senior asses who are as corrupt and the Devil in hell! It is just fine to be in contempt because those who make the law are the worst breakers of the same law!

This should not have been news in the first place. Mr. Moi did not need to drag his dirty linens in public for just 2 Million shillings. He could have just paid it and moved on. Does it mean he did not get a share of the billions that his mzee "worked hard" to get? He is portraying a poor man syndrome but that does not cut it. Greed is a terrible thing to have.

I don’t support Philip in this but I guess most of us would do the same. Her ex is a clear gold digger who thought she’d mint tens of millions from him because of the Moi name. Who saw the original filing she made? Wow, payment she was asking was completely out of this world!
Men, be very very careful. There are women out there ready to prey on you just cause you were joined together at one time. One reason some get killed.
Be wise - you can tell a lady who’s responsible, mature & not greedy & this is the type to support without being asked by anybody, leave alone a court of law

So explain how she is a gold digger and they even had children together. Nobody forced him to marry her. Its high time Kenyan men start taking responsibility of there actions. You dont marry a woman have kids with her and then when you are tired of her kick her to the street without anything. Let him pay.

@snipe - you got nothing to teach Kenya men about divorce! Your colonial masters (you included) are the worst divorcees world over! She is also a product of the divorce culture!
You wazungus marry both men and women, have kids, then that Pussy get too old and a little snappy; you jump to the next twenty something year old maid in your house and kick out the wife!
Let Moi be because your divorce record speaks volumes! You ain’t anything to talk about morality in marriage! You are not a moral voice for the married or divorced families! Wewe Njungu to! Bure kabisa!

You again. You argue like an imbecile. What does her race have anything to do with his situation. If his wife was Kenyan would that be any different? If he was married to your sister or mother would that make them gold diggers too, out to get rich by marrying presidents son? Would you spew such hate if it was your family?
