Kalonzo, Moi, and Karua Lead Six Parties in Signing a Coalition Agreement Under One Kenya Alliance

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Gideon Moi of Kanu, and Nark-Kenya’s Martha Karua have officially signed a coalition agreement bringing together six political parties under the One Kenya Alliance (OKA).

Other parties who signed the agreement include Cyrus Jirongo’s United Democratic Party (UDP), Farmers Party of Irungu Nyakera, and Movement for Democracy and Growth (MDG) led by Ugenya MP David Ochieng.

Speaking after the signing of the agreement at a Nairobi hotel on Friday, OKA principals said they are willing to join forces with other like-minded political formations ahead of the August 9th elections. The leaders insisted that any further partnerships must be done in a transparent and open manner.

“We are six today and still counting because more are on the way. This is a coalition of the willing and any coalition should be a coalition of the willing. A coalition demands openness, mutual respect, and sharing of ideas,” said Karua.

“We are going to build from strength to strength and OKA will demand from other coalition partners openness. We will tolerate opaqueness. We will not play second fiddle. We go in as equals and we discuss as equals.”

On his part, Musyoka echoed Karua’s sentiments, saying OKA is a powerful force that could team up with others to form a grand coalition or field its own presidential candidate in the forthcoming elections.

“We are going to have to form one Juggernaut. We talked about the possibility of a grand coalition but we have our coalition here and we are set,” Musyoka remarked.

He added: “If others don’t want to engage. We are ready to go to the wire. We are set with the instruments but we are ready to have a dialogue.”

Humble yourselves and join the two dominant political parties. You are too small on your own to make an impact and if you are hoping for a Vice President spot there are just too many aspirants .Keep waiting to be approached and August will be here before you know it

What's the difference between One Kenya Alliance (OKA) and UDA?
All of them are graduates tutored by MOI.
This is just an extension of MOI REGIME.
