Kenya Airways Rolls Out 15% Discount on New York Flights Ahead of 2026 FIFA World Cup

Kenya Airways is offering discounted fares of up to 15 per cent on direct flights to New York for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with return economy tickets starting from Ksh160,905 from Kisumu.

The promotion applies to travel between 1 June and 15 August 2026, covering most of the tournament schedule, including the final on 19 July at MetLife Stadium in New York. Customers must book by 30 June to access the reduced fares.

Economy return tickets from Nairobi start at Ksh168,380, while fares from Mombasa begin at Ksh195,885. Business class fares are considerably higher, starting at Ksh608,880 from Nairobi, Ksh740,515 from Kisumu, and Ksh802,510 from Mombasa.

The airline is also promoting its premium services. Business class passengers are offered flat-bed seats on its Dreamliner aircraft, African-inspired meals, and access to lounges such as Pride and Simba at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Additional services include priority check-in, expedited baggage handling, and in-flight entertainment.

The 2026 tournament will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, with New York among the host cities. The event is expected to attract a large number of international visitors, increasing demand for long-haul travel.

Kenya Airways is using the promotion to strengthen its position on transatlantic routes. As one of the few African airlines operating direct flights to New York, it aims to benefit from increased travel during the tournament period.

The airline noted that fares are subject to availability and may change. Additional charges may apply for baggage and other services. Tickets can be booked through its website, where customers can select departure points, travel dates, and price options.
