Babu Owino Charged With Conspiracy to Cause Chaos

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has refuted allegations of conspiring to commit chaos or subversive activities.

The MP was arrested on Tuesday evening and detained in several police stations before being taken to court with six other suspects including self-styled ghetto president Calvin Gaucho. The group appeared before Chief Magistrate Lukas Onyina on Thursday and denied the charges of conspiring to commit subversion.

Babu Owino's legal team comprising Njiru Ndegwa, Duncan Okatch, Danstan Omari, and Jackson Awele claimed that their client had not eaten or drunk water for three days and was unwell. They also said the MP had been arrested at the airport and held incommunicado at Wang'uru Police Station in Kirinyaga. The charges against the group alleged that they had engaged in activities that were prejudicial to public order between July 8 and 18 in Nairobi, in conjunction with others who were not present in court.

"Babu Owino has been 'Shakaholered' for three days," the defence team told Milimani chief magistrate Lucas Onyina.

The prosecution requested that the suspects be held without bail due to concerns that they may interfere with witnesses and ongoing investigations. In other news, former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga was reportedly arrested on Wednesday along with two others, Felix Lekishe and Peter Kamunya, at his home in Matasia, Kajiado County. According to sources, Mr Njenga is being investigated for his alleged involvement in the recent anti-government protests that began on July 19th and are scheduled to end on July 21.

The people who should be arrested are: Samoei, Rigathi, Kithure Kindiki and Muturi for violating the New Kenyan Constitution which guarantees citizens the right to protest.

When Raila declared himself the peoples president, the wise leadership of President Uhuru Ngina Kamau did not interfere with the event or send the police to harass and arrest peaceful demonstrators. Guess what, the lack of the presence of the police (the trouble makers) made the event peaceful without harm to anyone who attended or people's properties being looted.

Kithure Kindiki, and Muturi should reread our New Constitution about the right of the people to protest and police protecting them. I strongly believe that neither Rigathi nor Samoei have read our New Constitution!

Samoei and Rigathi should seek advice and learn from the current US President Joe Biden how he is handling Donald Trump. They can learn a lot about how to lead a democratic nation. Donald Trump has been going over and over again the same argument that he won the election of 2020. Joe Biden has not stopped Donald Trump from holding public meetings with his MAGA diehard followers or sent police to arrest him and stop his meetings.

Tha Maga violent meeting organized y Trump in DC was met with government forces. Most of the perpetrators are now serving sentences and many more are still being investigated including the ring leader himself. There’s no place and space for violence and property damages in the name of bs new constitution. Common sense has to prevail.

Wauaji Maina and Ongili should have been shot dead instead of arresting them.Right to demonstrate does not mean freedom to destroy private and public property.Anybody spotted destroying property or interfering with non-demonstrators or forcing them to demonstrate should be shot on site.Useless/senseless people are free to volunteer to be killed for Raila to rule. But he will never be Kenya’s president.

Kenyans are sickly tired of this Ruto regime of rouge thieves! Why accuse Babu of conspiring to commit chaos? Every Kenyan right now wants Maandamano to continue until Ruto is overthrown and put korokoroni! That is not a secret; it is a basic fact!

Which Kenyans? Just a few Jaruos are blindly following their cult leader Raila. And a few ignorant people.
If President Ruto sweet talks Raila into something government, all those noises, protests will suddenly stop. And it will not stop because these people are given any food. It’s because Raila will be eating.
It has happened many times before,. During Mois, Kibaki and Uhuru.
Shakahola pastor is likely to have borrowed a leaf from this.
Let them people die as you thrive.
