37 Countries Kenyans Can Visit Without a Visa Requirement

Kenya has risen five places to 68th in the 2026 Henley Passport Index, despite a slight decline in the number of countries its citizens can enter without a visa.

Kenyan passport holders can now travel visa-free to 37 destinations, according to the latest rankings. Most of these countries are in Africa and the Caribbean. They include South Africa, Ghana, Botswana, Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mauritius and Seychelles. In Asia, Kenyan travellers can access destinations such as Singapore and Malaysia without prior visa arrangements.

Island nations including Fiji, Barbados and The Bahamas also remain accessible.

The length of stay permitted differs between countries. Travellers can remain for 30 days in destinations such as Malaysia and Micronesia, while countries including Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica and Rwanda allow stays of up to 180 days.

Ethiopia offers Kenyan visitors a stay of up to 360 days. Some countries, including Eritrea, Jamaica, South Sudan and Trinidad and Tobago, do not specify a maximum duration of stay.

Within Africa, Kenya is ranked 10th for passport strength. Seychelles remains the continent’s highest-ranked passport at 28th globally, with access to 152 destinations.

Mauritius follows at 31st with access to 147 destinations. South Africa is ranked 51st worldwide, with visa-free access to 100 destinations. Botswana and Namibia complete Africa’s top five passports, ranked 55th and 60th globally with access to 82 and 75 destinations respectively.

Singapore continues to hold the top position in the global rankings, with visa-free access to 192 destinations. Afghanistan remains at the bottom of the index with the lowest level of travel access.
