Kenya Embassy in Riyadh to Host Question Time for Kenyans in Saudi Arabia

The Embassy of Kenya in Riyadh will host a one-hour Question Time session for Kenyans living and working in Saudi Arabia, giving citizens an opportunity to raise concerns and seek guidance from embassy officials.

The afternoon session will address a range of consular services, including passport applications and renewals, document authentication and the issuance of Emergency Travel Documents. Kenyans will also be able to raise welfare concerns and other challenges affecting the diaspora community in Saudi Arabia.

The initiative is part of efforts by Kenyan diplomatic missions to engage citizens abroad more directly. Consular services have increasingly included opportunities for dialogue and consultation, with diaspora communities being treated as active participants in discussions about the services and support they receive.

The session is expected to give Kenyans in Saudi Arabia an opportunity to speak directly with embassy officials about issues affecting their lives and access to government services. The Question Time format provides a structured setting for citizens to ask questions, seek clarification and raise concerns.

The initiative could also provide a model for similar engagement forums at other Kenyan diplomatic missions in the Gulf and elsewhere. Such forums can help improve communication between citizens abroad and their representatives, particularly where distance can make access to consular services and information more difficult.

The Embassy of the Republic of Kenya in Riyadh has encouraged Kenyans in the Kingdom to participate in the upcoming session as part of its continued efforts to engage and serve the Kenyan community in Saudi Arabia.
