Besieged former Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant Miguna Miguna now claims that he lost Sh150,000 as he battled security officers, who attempted to bundle him into a Dubai-bound Emirates airline flight at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on Monday night.
The self-declared National Resistance Movement (NRM) general remained at the Nairobi airport after the pilots refused to fly him to Dubai and spent the night at JKIA police station.
He alleges that the cops robbed him the aforementioned cash during the altercation.
On Wednesday, Miguna, who remains incarcerated at JKIA, claimed that he is being held in a dirty toilet inside the facility.
“I am detained inside a tiny and filthy toilet without access to basic hygiene and necessities of life. The respondents haven’t provided me with food, water, and medical attention in addition to not according me my right to counsel,” said Miguna in a statement.
“I have no access to a bathroom and I have not taken a shower since Sunday, March 25th. The toilet where I am being held has no shower or bathtub. There is only hot water in the toilet, hence, I am also unable to wash my face and brush my teeth,” he continues.
Government authorities have refused to free him despite three court orders by High Court Justices Roselyn Aburili and George Odunga.

Shs. 150,000 for a lawyer? That is chicken change. It is only $1,500. Get your freedom through compliance and you will make more.
The money he got through panhandling eg. Dallas, TX
@Churchill show, are you recruiting new comedians? Miguna would make a perfect one. If even 1,000 kshs was stolen from him, that would have been his first complaint before talking about the toilet he is supposedly locked in.
You got what you deserved. It just shows that you are not special than any other person. You proclaim to be a general somewhere. No sympathy here. If you had behaved better than an insane person at the airport you would have been treated better. Better luck next time general inciter. Thanks for taking the trash out.
Thanks for the entertainment.
The ✈️ which fellied The controversial General was full by the time it landed at JKIA and every other passenger was cleared and allowed in Jamhuri ya 🇰🇪. Thanks that they abided with the immigration laws. They made the right choices. Daktari Miguna with his educated approach followed his stubbornness which landed him in super trouble. He is 'Big Headed' and wish him all the best. Good luck!!
