Raila to Meet Kenyans in London During Week-Long Visit to the UK

Opposition leader Raila Odinga on Sunday jetted out of country for a week-long visit to the United Kingdom.

During his tour, Odinga will deliver a lecture at the Cambridge University on Tuesday and another at the Oxford University on Thursday, as a guest of Cambridge Union and Oxford Union respectively.

His spokesperson Dennis Onyango said that the Orange Democratic Movement leader is also expected to hold a meeting with United Kingdom Minister for Africa at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office on Wednesday.

“Mr. Odinga is scheduled to deliver lectures at Cambridge University on Tuesday, May 15, and at Oxford University on Thursday, May 17 as a guest of Cambridge Union and Oxford Union respectively,” spokesman Dennis Onyango said in a statement on Sunday.

On Friday, the former Prime Minister will meet Kenyans in the UK at the Greenwood Lecture Theatres of King’s College, London, where he will brief them on different issues including his famous March 9th handshake with President Kenyatta.

The opposition chief is accompanied by Nyando Member of Parliament Jared Odoyo Okello.

Raila, could you please talk to your new friend President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta to do the following:

The Kenyan Government should recall its ambassador to Israel following the genocide that Netanyahu has inflicted to the Palestinians today and other days since he came to power.

When the British occupied many countries of the world, they gave Kenya to the Jews in 1902. Some Jews came and settled in Kenya but majority did not want to. Had they accepted, Kenyans would be going through what Palestinians have endured for the last 70 years after they were pushed away with the "hitlerized" Jews who are doing to Palestinians what the Germans did to them.

Let us not forget that Israel supported the apartheid regime in South Africa and worked closely with them. They were also in the process of helping the illegal European South Africans develop a nuclear bomb!

Today, the president of South Africa has recalled its ambassador from Tel Aviv in sympathy with the people of Palestine suffering under Jewish illegal occupation.

In solidarity with the Palestinians, all the members of the AU should recall their ambassadors to Israel and break diplomatic relations with Israel until Israel adheres to the UN resolutions 242 and 338.

We must stand behind Palestinians. It is the Germans who killed over 70 million people and about 6 million Jews during the Second World War. The Palestinians had nothing to do with it.

Benjamin Netanyahu should apologize to the Palestinian people for all the atrocities that the current Jewish government and all previous governments have committed against them since May 15, 1948.

Kenyans should come in thousands to Bishop Road in Nairobi where the Israel Embassy is located and demonstrate peacefully in sympathy with our suffering Palestinian Brothers and Sisters.
