Body of a Kenyan Man Found Floating in the Water at a Bird Sanctuary in Methuen, Massachusetts

The body of a young Kenyan man was on Sunday found in the water at the Nevins Bird Sanctuary in Methuen, Massachusetts.

Police were called to the scene on Sunday around noon by two people walking on the trails near the water who found a body floating in the water. A dive team responded and retrieved the body.

The man has been identified as 26-year-old Joseph Thuo Kanyoko of Lowell, Massachusetts.

Methuen Police Chief Joseph Solomon said the cause of death will be determined once the medical examiner performs an autopsy, but said that foul play is not suspected.

Meanwhile, family and friends are meeting daily at 6pm for prayers at 130 Bowers St, Lowell, MA 01854.

whatever is behind the death of this 26 year old handsome young man, it is very very sad to the family,friends and the Kenyan community at large. If the cause is known and preventable, that could save a life or two through community teaching and awareness.
