Two Kenyans Found Dead in their Room in India

Two Kenyan nationals were on Tuesday, February 18th found dead in Gurugram, India.

The lifeless bodies of the two Kenyans, a man and woman, were found in their room after area police received complaints of a smell coming from the house.

Gurugram Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Preet Pal Singh told reporters that the woman worked as a teacher in a local school while the man was her friend.

“We received complaints that smell was coming from the accommodation of two Kenyan nationals, one of whom is a lady and used to work as a teacher in a school, and the other is her friend,” said Preet.

“Upon breaking in the accommodation, the body of the lady was found lying on the floor while the body of the male was found hanging from the geyser. Prima facie it appears that the body had been lying there for three or four days.”

Preet said the Kenya embassy in India was informed about the incident but did not reveal the identities of the deceased persons. Police are waiting for the post-mortem results of the two bodies as further investigation continue.
