Kabogo Denies Working with NASA

Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has rubbished allegations by his rival in the Kiambu gubernatorial race Ferdinand Waititu that he has been silently working with the opposition's National Super Alliance (NASA).
Kabogo said that he has no links with NASA, terming Waititu’s claims as petty politics that he was not ready to engage in.
In an interview with the Standard Newspaper, the Kiambu County boss accused Waititu of dragging him to propaganda like he did in the wake of Jubilee party nominations, where he trounced Kabogo.
‘‘I want to warn my rival against dragging my name into the mud and let him know that this time round I will not fall for his propaganda tactics,’’ he told the Standard.
The governor said that his focus was on his re-election and will not be derailed by individuals who have no clear agenda for Kiambu County.
Kabogo urged Kiambu residents to remain firm and shun politicians peddling lies, adding that the contest for Kiambu governorship was between naysayers and performers.
Jubilee Nominee for Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu had earlier alleged that Kabogo was an opposition sympathizer and was bitter after losing to him in the nomination.
Waititu’s sentiments came after a section of Kiambu MCAs declared support for NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga’s presidential bid.
