NASA Principals Strike Deal to avoid Looming Fallout

National Super Alliance (NASA) principals Raila Odinga, Musalia Musavadi and Moses Wetang'ula convened a crisis meeting to resolve Parliament leadership wrangles that have threatened to split the coalition.
The three are said to have met at Mudavadi’s residence on Riverside Drive in Nairobi and struck a deal on how to share slots in Parliament after some Nasa affiliate parties threatened to walk out citing domination of Raila's Orange Democratic Movement in the list.
The meeting agreed to give the chairmanship of Public Accounts Committee (PAC) in the National Assembly to Nambale MP Sakwa Bunyasi, and a slot in the Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC) to Vihiga Senator George Khaniri, both from Mudavadi's ANC party.
To quell the Coastal caucus comprising MPs from ODM party, who had opposed the list of house leadership submitted to parliament last week for lack of region and gender representation, vocal Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa will take up a slot in the PSC, while Mvita MP Abdulswamad Nassir was named vice chairman of the Public Investment Committee (PIC).
Kalonzo Musyoka’s Wiper was given Senate minority whip post, which is occupied by Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Jnr and the National Assembly’s deputy minority leader slot which went to Kathiani MP Robert Mbui.
Senate minority leader went to Bungoma senator Moses Wetang'ula (Ford Kenya), deputised by Siaya senator James Orengo (ODM), while Suba South MP (ODM) took National Assembly Deputy Minority leader.

Which parliament? OK...woke up...the NASA yet-to-be-sworn-in parliament.
Talk of having it both ways...now we want this from the Uhuruto government....tomorrow we don't even recognize it and we are doing this our own way....the cake can be had and can be eaten.
