Its about time the laws MUST CHANGE to counter epidemic of corruptions cases...according to the post the fine is totally inverse inproportion to the individual looted public fund.
Even a 4th grader can guess correctly here the looter did of course paid the fine to avoid jail term.

Four years my foot!..big joke. Such crime deserves death penalty.

Why is it that only the small fish are ever found guilty in Kenya. Ever since, in Kenyan history, no big fish is ever corrupt in the eye of Kenyan Justice system. When it come to people we don't even know their names, the courts find them guilty to prove a point, but when it come to Ministers, PSs, etc they always say the DPP has not provided enough evidence. Even in this NYS case 23 others were found not guilty, not even the lady who started fake company with her mother to swindle the money! C'mon Kenyan courts, you have a responsibility in combating corruption in Kenya. You are becoming a laughingstock. If you judges are not corrupt as you always, say then you need to start finding the main looters guilty rather than blaming DPP. And laws need to change to eliminate fines being paid to avoid jail term because it is a joke. Someone steals 78 million and is being required to pay like 4 million in order to avoid jail term. This is how corruption is perpetuated in the country. All it takes is a successful looting spree and you can easily pay your way out with peanuts and smile all the way to the bank.

Tafadhali tumia AKILI MWUMBAJI aliyokupa halafu uwache dini hii ya kikristo ambayo imejaa wezi, wauaji, wabakaji, majambazi, na matapeli. Hamna tofauti baina ya dini ya kikristo na dini ya kiislamu. Zote ziliwauza Wafrika kwa sababu hazimtambui MWUMBAJI.
