Tony’s death was confirmed by his elder sister, Jane Kariuki through social media on Sunday.

"Tony, can't believe you are gone," Jane wrote without disclosing the cause of his death.

Until his demise, Tony run Backoffice System Solutions—a business process outsourcing company, according to Daily Nation.

He was also the executive director of the JM Kariuki Foundation for Peace, Leadership, and Transitional Governance.

Tony was an alumnus of the University of Maryland, College Park, from where he graduated with a BSc in Finance in 1995. He worked in different companies in the US before returning home.

JM Kariuki, who was the MP for Nyandarua North, was killed in 1975, an assassination that sparked a wave of unrest in Nairobi.

Senior government figures and security were blamed for his murder. His killers were never arrested.
