Kenyan Woman Who Stole Sh1.7 Million from Man's Account After Spiking His Drink Arrested

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Saturday arrested a woman who allegedly drugged a man before robbing him.

24-year-old Beatrice Mueni Mbiu is said to have spiked the victim's drink, stole his phone and later transferred Sh1.7 million from his bank account.

The DCI said Mueni was captured on CCTV committing the crime at a club in Nyali, Mombasa together with two of her accomplices.

The three have been on the run since September 8th, 2020 when the victim reported the incident.

Mueni was apprehended by detectives based in Nyali and was positively identified by the victim.

"She will be arraigned next week as search for the other two continues," the DCI said through Twitter.

That gives anew meaning to non violent robbery. To the victim, the loss is just as bad.
Lock her for 20 years to deter this kind of crime. The only except would be,if the man had acquired his wealth illegally.
