Meru Senator Linturi Accused of Attempting to Rape Woman After Sneaking into Couple's Hotel Room

Meru Senator Mithika Linturi has moved to court seeking to block his impeding arrest and prosecution over alleged attempted rape.

Linturi says he is in possession of a May 5th, 2021 letter authored by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), which reveals plans to prefer attempted rape charges against him. He adds that the alleged criminal offenses have never been disclosed to him.

“The petitioner risks being arrested, charged and prosecuted anytime now,” reads court papers.

The complaint against the politician was reportedly filed by a woman who checked into Maiyan Villas Hotel in Nanyuki in the company her husband and friends on January 29th this year.

An inquiry file number 21/2021 notes that on the night of January 29th, the complainant retired to her room and left the door unlocked as her husband, who was still with their friends outside, was to join her later.

“At about 3 am she heard the door unlocked and since the lights were switched off she assumed it was her husband and the person got into her bed and started touching her in a very unusual manner,” reads the report.

The woman says she told the man off though he did not say anything and that it continued for a while before they both fell asleep.

“Thirty minutes later she heard a knock on the door and went to open the door only to find her husband standing at the door prompting her to switch on the lights since she was confused who was in her bed whom she though was her husband,” the report adds.

After switching the lights on, she was shocked to learn that there was a stranger in their bed and her husband raised alarm. The woman says the stranger was identified as Senator Linturi.

“It was established that the senator was also a guest though booked in another villa no 5GML,” reads the statement

Senator Linturi allegedly offered to settle the matter out of court by offering Sh200,000 in cash and another Sh800,000 in cheque but he later reported a case of extortion to DCI Laikipia East and turned the couple into suspects.

He needs to resign until the case is settled! That is the only way we will clean Kenya out of corruption, rape, abuse of office, etc!

Linturi - you have been accuse of rape! It is a crime to rape a woman! Step down so that justice can be done without any sue influence! I would tell my own brother to do the same!

Please do not go to tanga tanga and start politicizing your rape! Keep politics out of your rape case; be a real man! Take responsibility!

This is the kind of story that you read 2 or 3 times b4 jumping to conclusion. There is no rape here. Sounds like a caught in the act, and he/she is now trying to get out of any ugly situation, and maybe with some money.

You will never have a man in your cold bed in the first place because you are just fagili @ceneca! Second you are too old for your twarp to moisturize for any man to want to dip in there! Third, men look for sex to women capable of performing and not some old crackers that can’t even lift a leg!

Linturi is always guilty of something! He has a high appetite for crimes! This goes to show you the kind of thugs Meru people send to senate to represent them! Raping a woman is possibly not a crime in Meru!
