Martha Karua Urges Kenyans to Elect a President Who Has Respect
Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition presidential running mate Martha Karua has urged Kenyans to elect a president who respects other leaders.
In a thinly-veiled attack on Deputy President William Ruto, Karua told Kenyans that a leader who disrespects a sitting president cannot respect the common citizen if he/she ascends to power.
"If you have no respect for your colleagues, you will also not respect the citizens. If you want the presidency, respect the sitting president... And it does not mean you should not fault him or her, but do it in a manner that is orderly and has a basis," said Karua.
She added: "If you elect leaders with no respect, you will have wronged yourself and you will also be disrespected. Kibaki was humble but you saw the fruits of his leadership."
Karua spoke on Friday in Makueni and Kitui counties where she held a series of rallies to drum up support for the Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition presidential flagbearer Raila Odinga.
The Nark-Kenya party leader noted that the only thing Kenya needs in order to move to the next level is good leadership, which she said will be provided by Odinga and herself.
"The only thing we are lacking in this country is good leadership. Elect an MCA, Governor, Senator, Woman Rep, and MP who are good leaders... There is only one horse in this race and it is Raila Odinga. You clearly know him. He has fought for this country while in and out of the government," she added.
On Saturday, Karua will take the Azimio campaigns to Nyeri and Murang'a counties while Odinga will pitch tent in Makueni county.

Does Raila have respect for other leaders?
1. Did Raila respect Moi when Moi was was president? NO!!
Raila forcefully attempted to take power (1982- Coup)
2. When Raila's father left his party to Kijana Wamalwa and the party held elections, Raila lost to Wamalwa, instead of Raila respecting the elected leader, he left the party to for his own.
Raila has no respect for elected leaders.
3. When Raila lost elections to President Mwai Kibaki, he could not accept defeat, he disrespected Kibaki's presidency and caused trouble to end up with NUSU MKATE.
4. Raila and Ruto cause the death of many Gikuyu's by burning them in church. (No one was held responsible for these deaths)
5. When Raila lost elections to Uhuru, he went to swear himself as "people's president" - No respect for Uhuru as a leader and no respect for God as the creator.
With Uhuru he got the so called "handshake- which is another name for NUSU MKATE"
Martha Karua, Are you still talking about respect for leaders?
Raila has no respect not for just leaders but for Kenya and Kenyans.
He brought shame to our country. It's only a few weeks to change of guard in Kenya.
Every action has a reaction and all deeds are rewarded.
Let us wait patiently for Kenya to give Raila back what he has given Kenya in truth!!

@Mugikuyu, you should have your facts right! Kiambaa church killings had nothing to do with them not voting for Ruto, ( some were children who couldn't vote), because the candidate was Raila, not Ruto. It was Raila with his 41 versus 1. It was Raila for president with MDvD as his deputy president. It was Raila's program and the buck stops with him.

Mūgîkūyū’s tribesmen/victims could not get justice because of corrupt prosecutors who were misled by so-called human rights groups.The idiots deliberately shielded murderer Raila and gangster Kibaki from prosecution which could have yielded in at least three convictions.Kenya would be far if makashia like Raila and Kibaki were locked and all their looted property auctioned to compensate the victims.

Kiambaa Church was burned by youths who when they got arrested admitted. They said they were hired by the friend of Raila The late Mzee Kibor, who also bailed them out.
Kibor was a great friend of Raila who unfortunately had his helicopter stoned when he went to Kibor's funeral albeit late.
It is worthy noting Ruto never sent condolences to Kibor's family. They were never friends.
