Ruto Promises Former Senator Mithika Linturi and Other Election Losers Gov't Jobs

President-elect William Ruto has promised to give former Meru Senator Mithika Linturi and other election losers jobs in his government.

Speaking during a church service in Maua, Meru County on Sunday, Ruto said he had an agreement with Linturi that he would offer him a job if he failed to clinch the Meru gubernatorial seat in the August 9th election.

Linturi, who vied for the seat on a UDA party ticket, emerged second behind independent candidate Kawira Mwangaza.

Ruto said other Kenya Kwanza leaders who were unsuccessful in winning political seats in Meru county will also be included in the government to help the country develop.

"We agreed with Franklin (Linturi) that if I am elected president, I will share the seat with him. So don't worry and also those who probably didn't get a chance, I want to assure you that you will have a part in our government so that we can move forward together and so that we can handle the plan that we sold together with them for the development of the Kenyan nation," said Ruto.

He took the opportunity to thank the people of Meru for their overwhelming support and promised to repay their kindness by bringing development in the area.

"We came before you, you did not despise us, you listened to us, welcomed us, believed in us and voted for us. Today I have come here to say thank you very much. Meru was county number four where we got a lot of votes," Ruto added.

It's time to look for young qualified Kenyans who are tarmacking looking for a job. If we keep on recycling those politicians the gap between the poor and the rich will only widen
