KRA Employee Dies After Falling off Times Tower Building

The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) is mourning the death of one of their members of staff, who died after falling off the Times Towers building, which houses the agency's head office.

In a statement on Friday, the KRA deputy commissioner for marketing and communications, “It is with deep regret that we inform you of the demise of one of our staff during an incident that happened at our Times Tower Offices this afternoon.”

The commissioner further said the authority’s medical team performed First Aid on the staffer while calling for medical assistance but the employee died from injuries while being attended to by medical personnel.

The tax authority did not reveal the identity of the staffer. It condoled with the family of the bereaved, saying the incident is under investigation.

"KRA remains committed to the health and safety of its staff and is saddened by this unfortunate occurrence. The incident is under investigation by law enforcement agencies. KRA condoles with the family of the bereaved,” the statement added.
