President William Ruto has made changes to the boards of various state agencies in an effort to consolidate leadership.
According to a recent gazette notice, Ruto has appointed three new members to the Pharmacy and Poisons Board for a three-year term. The new members are Isha Anand, Bernard Kimutai Maiyo, and Beatrice K.M. Amugune. Ruto has also appointed Mwambu Mabonga as the Chairperson of the Non-Governmentals Organization Co-ordination Board for a three-year period. Information and Communications Technology Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo has also made changes to the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication Board by naming Valentine Khaminwa, John Kieru, and Wambui Kizito Chesesio as new members. National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Njuguna Ndung'u appointed Ibrahim Mohamed Salati to the Board of Directors of the Retirement Benefits Authority for a three-year period.
Finally, Trade and Industrialisation CS Moses Kuria has named Neddy Jeruto Kiptoo as a member of the Board of Directors of the Anti-Counterfeit Authority for a three-year period. The Kenya Institute of Primate Research has selected Kengethe Kinyua to join its Board of Directors for a three-year term, following an appointment by Health CS Susan Nakhumicha. In addition, Luka Kiprop Chemwolo and Mary Nyokabi Kamau have been appointed to the Kenya Medical Research Institute's Board of Directors for the same period. Benson Njoroge Ndungu, on the other hand, has been appointed by Simon Chelughi, the Cooperatives CS, to serve as a member of the Board of Directors for the New Kenya Planters Co-operative Union.
Meanwhile, Tourist CS Peninah Malonza has appointed Chris Foot, Helen Wanjiru Gichohi, and Tom Silvester as members of the Kenya Wildlife Service Board, also for a three-year term. Finally, Jennifer Mwangangi has been appointed to the Financial Inclusion Fund Advisory Board's Board of Directors for a period of three years.
