Religious Leaders Alarmed by LGBTQ Content in CBC Textbooks

Religious leaders have voiced apprehension regarding the alleged inclusion of LGBTQ+ content in textbooks associated with the Competence-Based Curriculum (CBC).

At a conference held at the Sarova Panafric Hotel in Nairobi on Thursday, these clerics called upon Parliament to investigate the purported infiltration of LGBTQ+ material within the educational system. Specifically, they pointed out that certain books, including one utilized by Grade 4 students, were promoting content centred on same-sex relationships. Emphasizing their concern, the religious leaders asserted that the LGBTQ+ agenda was making its way into educational materials and urged Parliament to take decisive action concerning both the CBC books and international curricula adopted by students in Kenya.

They underscored the urgency of swift measures to prevent the influence of this perceived infiltration on Kenyan children studying various international curricula. In response to these assertions, criticism has been directed at the Supreme Court's decision allowing the registration of the National Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (NGLHRC). The board's initial rejection to register the commission was based on the argument that it promotes same-sex behaviour. However, the judges deemed this rejection discriminatory and unconstitutional, asserting that it impeded the commission's right to associate freely.

The religious leaders caution that if this ruling remains unaddressed, it could negatively impact the family unit in Kenya. They express concerns that such a decision might open the door to the legalization of same-sex unions in the country. Additionally, they highlight that their statement aims to safeguard the traditional values and customs highly cherished by the majority of Kenyans.

It is very shameful that these clerics choose a ahigh end restaurant to sit,eat flirt, and talk about a non issue. You clerics, and other men of the cloth, what is ruining our country is a) corruption b) attack on women c) laziness d)immorality e) thievery f) lies g) poor role models, and erosion and decadence of moral standards.
I will take lesbians and homosexuals anytime if I could exchange them for all the aforementioned evils. As despicable to some ,this same sex attraction/issue is,it does no harm to society compared to all the crimes I have mentions. So people, let's make our leaders adhere to priorities that will better our society.Starting with eradication corruption on whose foundation the rest of the social evils are based on,and grounded.

If you don’t come from these large tribes like kikuyu, Kalenjin, Luhya, Luo etc

Avoid listening to these LGBTQ activists who don’t live in the villages or small towns in Africa.

Move in silence before the local community kills you.

The American government is not going to come and protect you in your flat.

Every community in Kenya should prepare to educate its own. No one should be allowed to educate another community's children.
We must all include our cultures, traditions and language in our education system.
"Any education that does not take into consideration the inseparable unity between the African lineage and African thinking is based on false principles and must lead to the alienation of the individual from his own self, his principles, traditions and his past"
The current education system is a dead end education track.
Time to educate our own!!

I understand education is also about exposing students to knowledge about stuff like this ,sharing every story and celebrating every voice, but school is not the place who should supply this material. This type of "learning" is outside the parameters of what should be taught and be included in the CBC system.

Parents determine curriculum. It's not up to evil Sodom and Gomorrah to rise from the ashes and run schools like every one is blind.

It is interesting how Kenyans on Mwakilishi demonize USA,and other gay friendly countries, and yet, they are quick to want to go there for financial benefits. These countries have their own issues, but they have a better standard of living that many Kenyans would give everything to go there and enjoy. Pretty much go there and reap where they did not sow.
Homos have not lowered the standard of living is USA.

Wazungu's evil spirit infiltrating every corner of the once intact African family fiber, admonishing polygamy while glorifying this mukudu/sewage business that doesn't generate off springs. Shame the devil!!!

Does it hurt you when you hear "mukudu" sex being criticized? How disgusting of you to be attracted to people of your gender? That is UN-African.Let them keep their "shit" in the West then if they are happier there.

All religious leaders are con artists and hypocrites. Why? The CREATOR does not need any help from the same human being that the CREATOR designed and created.

The CREATOR'S work was finished the day that you were born. Therefore, don't be a hypocrite by pretending that you are praying or attending prayer meetings because the CREATOR does not want prayers or praises from an ordinary corrupt and crooked human being that the CREATOR designed and created.
Finally, the CREATOR is not a human being and neither a male or a female. Therefore, addressing the CREATOR as a "HE" or a "SHE" is an insult and shows clearly as sign of lack of "Critical Thinking."

What is "Critical Thinking?"

It is the ability to analyze all facts objectively before forming a rational non-biased judgement.
How can you belong to a religious organization that practices sexism and human slavery.
