Deputy President Gachagua Opts for Commercial Flight, Carries Own Luggage

On Tuesday, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua boarded a commercial Kenya Airways flight to Mombasa.

He is slated to officially inaugurate the International Scientific Conference of the Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya. The conference is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at the Sarova Whitesands Hotel. Kenya has been making remarkable strides towards self-sufficiency in pharmaceuticals, and this conference provides a platform to discuss achievements, challenges, and future goals in this area. Participants will explore strategies to enhance local production, reduce reliance on imports, and ensure a steady supply of essential medicines. The availability and affordability of medicines have a direct impact on healthcare outcomes, and the conference will address how a robust local pharmaceutical industry can contribute to better health for Kenyans.

Discussions will cover disease-specific medications, vaccines, and other essential drugs needed to combat health challenges prevalent in the country. Regulatory frameworks play a crucial role in shaping the pharmaceutical sector and attendees will engage in dialogues about streamlining regulations, ensuring quality control, and promoting innovation. Balancing safety and accessibility remains a priority, and the conference will address ways to achieve this equilibrium. Case studies on successful local pharmaceutical companies, research collaborations, and public-private partnerships will also be presented.

The International Scientific Conference of the PSK provides a platform for stakeholders to address the challenges and opportunities in Kenya's local pharmaceutical manufacturing sector.

If we have a regime that is selling fake fertilizer and contaminated sugar to its citizens, the regime is also probably importing fake medications or medications with very small amounts of the active ingredients. I know a few people who have opted not to retire wholesomely in Kenya but live part of the year in the US and part in Kenya because they just don't feel comfortable with medications available in Kenya's pharmacies.

Reeling from the backlash his boss, Zakayo encountered after a wasteful expedition to USA with joyriders on taxpeters backs,Rigy is trying to paint himself as "Thrifty-Rigy"-Mr economy.Surprisingly he might garner some political mileage...
I hope the conference will have a topic on,"Corruption in the Pharmaceutical companies"

Riggy did not disappoint at the conference @maxiley! He had a good speech, he stayed on the point, he was funny and he portrayed some good and sensible small economies of scale.

Have you ever noticed Riggy is a better communicator than Ruto? Way better above notch! Ruto just stiffly talks without making much sense! At times Ruto looks nervous and confused! He does not have a good sense of humor and a grain of like-ability.

Riggy is quite relaxed, funny and he captures the attention of the audience, the other villagers! 😂😂😂

A lot of Kenyans identify with that “village” tag! Like him or hate him, Riggy G will make Ruto a one term president. Kikuyus have the most votes in Kenya and Ruto can’t wish that fact away! All the reasons Ruto is using his scions to fight Riggy G.! And, the Kikuyus are not having none of Ruto’s shenanigans and drama. Ruto is a past tense in the Mountain region. Unless he steals the 2027 elections, he is done!

It is better to be “kicking the can” down the road than to be used by Ruto to enable his corruption machinery! Where in the world the politics are not emotional??? Ruto is the worst president Kenya has ever had! He is a curse to Kenya!

His political strategy is super weak. Trying to get the populace to sympathize with your hardships & sufferings is pathetic. Grow some makende, You’re the DP of Kenya and not just the Kikuyus. Start acting like one. Don’t be caught up with petty politics of politicians who are already beneath you. You’re just lucky to be balloted as DP, which is the highest of you can ever achieve for a civil servant with no political game. You know it so just shut up and do your job.

Nonsense! Pure nonsense @kamuziiiieeee! All politics begin at the local level. Ruto played a lot sympathy when he wa TangaTanga master. He still plays sympathy card through cheap destructive politics! There is no statesman in Ruto, just a cheap bustard who does not care about the country.

Ruto is trying to teach Rigathi how to hold a spoon, but Riggy G is telling Ruto, no thanks, I got 5 fingers to use instead!

Ruto is just a colonial master wannabe! He wants to be a white boy but he is too black inside out (somehow very uncouth) to even pretend to play the role of a white boy! Ruto is a dirty politician and he is fullnf anger, range and vengeance! This is what is eating Ruto from inside, and it is failing him badly.
