Kenyan veteran runner Edna Kiplagat won the women’s 2017 Boston Marathon on Monday, April 17th.
The 37-year-old, running in her first Boston Marathon, cruised to victory in a time of 2:21:52.
Bahrain's (Kenyan-born) Rose Chelimo finished second in a time of 2:22:51, followed in third place by Jordan Hassay of the United States in 2:23:00.
Edna has won six career marathons, including in London, Los Angeles, New York, 2 IAAF Championships, and now the Boston Marathon.
