Kenyan singer Esther Akoth, better known as Akothee is set to retain custody for one of his sons after winning a court case.
The case reportedly involved a battle for one of her two sons, Oyoo and Ojwang, who she has previously mentioned they were fathered by foreign men. The controversial musician has five kids, three girls and two boys, all from different relationships.
In an emotional post on Instagram on Thursday, Akothee said she had won the case and lashed out at lawyers who agree to fight child custody for absentee fathers.
“The number of trips I made to the law courts just to fight for our safety & your rights , The number of emails back and forth between lawyers just to prove which point! Don’t hesitate to consult the children’s court every time you are having custody battles, the children’s court is plain fare and work towards the safety & interest of the children only, not love triangles, just make sure the story you are telling is true and truth alone shall remain, no one can buy the rights of your child if you are a responsible mother! No court will take a child away from a mother if she has been there since conception!” she wrote.
“Only a selfish Lawyer can use the family situation to collect money from an irresponsible father, imagining that he can challenge the children’s court at the expense of his pocket .family issues are very sensitive and all lawyers should think twice before misleading any party! It’s a matter of life & death! Couples have committed suicide and murdered their children! Don’t be a party to destroying families just to end up in a bank, you might end up like Judas. God bless all parents fighting custody battles,” she added.

That's your opinion. If you ever get divorced, go ahead and walk away. Let another man or men (in Akothee's case) help raise your kids since your too much of a man to fight for and raise your own kids. Then marry another woman and raise HER kids.
Correction@ James.Fathers are not designed to give birth to babies. But certainly they can raise them. There are many single fathers out there who have dedicated their lives to raising their children .
As a man though I agree with you that unless the mother is unfit to raise her kids she should have them. How we raise children is purely a social construct. We are designed to complement each other and help raise children. As a father If you want to see your kid grow well you stick around and help.
Paying child support is not raising a child that's easy. My advise to all would be parents is that raising kids is not easy.It helps to plan and also have resources both human and materials to support the children otherwise the kids may be a burden to society...And yes I am aware that most pregnancies are unplanned. It really comes down to personal responsibilities. Not society'S.We all play our part well we create a better society.
Personally don't see why Akothee is attacking the Lawyers. Lawyers are generally liars as long as the coins add up! I have yet to meet a single Lawyer who has turned down a case on moral grounds, in fact the more a case drags the better for them as they drain the living daylight out of their clients. Akothee should direct her anger at the father of those children ( I mean that child), and I think she should also reflect on herself.
Is this not the father who kicked Akothee from his home and country before the boy was born? What makes him responsible now after the child has been raised? Akothee is a great motherand a victim of an unfair world that we live in. She has miraculously walked with her head high. She is a role model to many a mothers, single and spoused alike.
unless a mother is a junk the responsibility of raising children should not be taken for granted and given the fathers . Fathers are not born to raise children otherwise they should be able to carry a baby for 9 months and give birth . Fathers will employ or marry another woman or take the kids to his mother for care because he knows he is not capable and it is not in his nature . Fathers role is protection, providing and guidance but nursing children my fellow men agree with me is not for us . don't deny your child his right out of revenge . if it is about money fight it in court as to how much you want or can afford for your children upkeep
