Two Kenyan Women Charged with Spiking Man's Drink, Stealing Sh1.9 Million from Him

Two Kenyan women accused of spiking a man's drink before stealing Sh1.9 million from his bank account have been arraigned in court.

The two, Joyce Britney and Florence Wangare, are accused of spiking Fredrick Omondi Okati's drink in Lang’ata, Nairobi on January 17th, 2019.

Appearing before Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi at the Milimani Law Courts, the two have been charged with administering a stupefying chemical known as Rohypnol on Okati's drink at Ngei 11 Estate in Langata with an intention of stealing from him.

The court has been told that the two suspects unlawfully transferred Sh1.9 million from Okati’s Stanbic Bank account into several accounts premised at Equity Bank, Family Bank, and M-Pesa.

Britney, who was arrested with a packet containing seven one-milligram tablets of Rohypnol, is also accused of stealing Okati's mobile phone and ATM card all worth Sh23, 000.

The two have denied the charges and have been released on bond.

Britney has been released on a bond of Sh1 million with an alternative cash bail of Sh300,000 while Wangare has been freed on a bond of Sh500,000 or a cash bail of Sh200,000.

Upuzi! Their cash bail should have been more than the stolen amount Kshs. 2 million each! They have money & this is not the first time they are doing it, so they are a flight risk!

They got caught because they are some two ugly sisters. If they were beautiful, they would have argued their way out of the mess 😁.
