I'll Become a Preacher after Leaving Politics, Deputy President William Ruto Says

Deputy President William Ruto says he will become a preacher once he bows out of the political arena.

Speaking in Kitale on Friday during a function to celebrate Pentecostal Evangelistic Fellowship of Africa (PEFA) Bishop Samuel Thiong'o's 50 years of God's ministry, Ruto said he will dedicate his life to preaching the gospel after retiring from politics.

Ruto also said that politicians should not overstay in power because there's life after politics.

"I will spend the rest of my life evangelizing when I quit active politics. I don't think there is a justifiable reason for any leader to overstay in power," Ruto said.

Ruto served as the leader of the Christian Union (CU) while studying at the University of Nairobi before graduating in 1990.

He later joined the dreaded Youth for KANU (YK92) group that campaigned for the then President Daniel Arap Moi during the 1992 election.

In 1997, Ruto won the Eldoret North parliamentary seat on a KANU ticket and defended it in the subsequent elections in 2002 and 2007.

He has been Kenya's Deputy President since 2013 and has declared he will run for President in the next elections.

CHINEKE! Indeed he qualifies for the prosperity gospel! I am afraid he gonna make tithes mandatory and we'll have to be audited! I can see him commanding, "Obey the man of the God"!

yep, you never know when we gonna die! But, he can only preach on CONDITION that he returns all the loot and all the wealth he's amassed through corruption. That money belonged to school kids, hardworking farmers, patients, nurses salary etc. He needs to repent before preaching.

So preaching is for those without jobs? My friend, if you are genuine and has s divine call, quit your job and start preaching. Preaching is not a job for rejects.

Oh men! This guy was an CU leader. Why is he associated with so many evils: stealing, corruption, land grabbing, clashes where thousands died, impregnating a young girl... oh I see now....these are the characteristics of some of our preachers. God luck Ruto. Welcome to the field of miracle working and conniving preachers. You will be a good match.

William Ruto has his own skeletons to worry about and I am certainly not a fan of his but there are powers out there who are hell bound to tarnish his name and they have done a darn good job about it. The man might be evil, pretty much like the rest of us, but he's also a victim of certain powers beyond his control

He should become a catholic priest. They have received the most in the weekly 10M Ksh donations without asking how Ruto made the money. He will fit in very well with the cardinal and the sisters who are busy stealing a hospital they never built.

Please, No! No! Not another Catholic priest! First of all, Ruto is a chronic tanga-tanga he can't be celibate. Secondly, no more molestation of our boys while blinding the kids parents with his usual church donations!

So preaching is a choice and not acalling ? I bet one of the repentance lines will go as follows;

when I was a politician, I lusted after -ndogo ndogo and had afew on the side.un beknownest to madame most of the time.
when Iwas apolitician, winning justified the end result.
When Iwas apolitician I supported hefty benefits.
When I was apolitician, personal interest came first
When I was apolitician,I tolerated Uhuru.
When I was apolitician I ammased alot of earthly material. And now that Iam achristian, with aclear head, I will return all the articles that public eying may appear illigotten...
And say I am SORRY.
