Kenyan Singer Akothee Takes Her Charitable Organization to Turkana

Kenyan singer Esther Akoth, alias Akothee, has extended the operations of her humanitarian foundation to Turkana County months after she moved Kenyans for mobilizing food donations for starving residents.

On Monday, the musician announced she had launched the Akothee Foundation in Turkana to help the needy and hunger-stricken people in the region. The foundation will help sink water boreholes in the area among other activities.

“The grand opening of Akothee Foundation TURKANA branch,” she wrote on her social media pages.

In March this year, Akothee launched an initiative to mobilize food and water for starving Kenyans in Turkana County.

After an online appeal for funds, the "Oyoyo" hitmaker traveled to Turkana with trucks full of tons of food and more than 10,000 liters of water.

Kenyans online praised her for the initiative, saying she is better than most gospel musicians and churches that pretend to be righteous.

More than one million Kenyans in 13 counties were facing starvation as a result of drought, with Turkana being one of the most affected areas.

Some will say, I never saw you Lord. Jesus will tell them, I was hungry, you gave food, I was thirsty, I was naked, I was in prison etc and you supplied to my needs. Let the Christians who shun the needs of the needy just shout how saved they are. Jesus will tell them, I had many needs but you ignored me. During the day of judgment, many will be surprised when they land where they never expected. Go, go Akothee. God God meet with you in your work of mercy. I cannot compare you to the church hawker, Mr. Tangatanga.

How many times have I accused Akothee for the bad influence she has had on our youth yet deep inside her heart is a kind & loving girl who is better than all our politicians put together! Forgive me Akothee & do what you must do if that is what it takes to reach the forgotten people of our society! Oyoyo!

Truly, sometimes we're just fooled easily by what some actors would like us to believe when they're on stage but when you dig a little bit more you get the real picture! Compare her to another politician who likes fooling people about his generosity yet deep inside is a cobra ready to strike when opportunity presents itself in 2022! Live & let live then!

Those who are comparing her to Christians must not thing that she is one.
It would be very nice if Uhuru can nominate her as women's repsentative.

Shame to you Ruto. Your job seems to be pandering to the rich and well off church folk so that they may help you to be president. What we are in need of are not millions to people who already have much or altars in your magnificent house built on poor people’s taxes. We need the hungry fed, the sick treated and the naked clothed. Your cheap Christianity is not fodder to the needy. Reread your scriptures. Go Okothee way.

God will bless you and your so called ‘nakedness’ ( by the fake moral cops). Your deeds are as pure as it comes. Better you than the ‘fully clothed’, church going thugs peddling in blasphemy daily raping public resources

Dp Ruto wasnt mentioned on the article, its about Akothee lakini as usual kuna walevi na idol worshipers wengi kwa hii forum. Kila kitu; Ruto!! Dp si babanyu washenzi kabisa. The story is about Madam Boss aka Akothee doing her thing. Great job for your humanitarian work.
