Former Cabinet Minister, Simeon Nyachae has passed away following a long illness.

Nyachae’s family said the 88-year-old patriarch died while undergoing treatment at the Nairobi Hospital on Monday.

Addressing reporters at Lee Funeral Home, his eldest son, Charles Nyachae said burial arrangements are underway and more details will be announced later.

Nyachae joined politics in 1992 after a long career in the public service, having started as a District Officer in Kangundo, Machakos County in 1960 and rose to become a Provincial Commissioner under Jomo Kenyatta’s government.

The deceased served as the MP for Nyaribari Chache Constituency for three terms and retired from politics in 2007 after losing the seat.

He also served as the Minister for Agriculture and Finance in President Moi’s administration and Energy and Roads in the government of Mwai Kibaki. He unsuccessfully vied for the presidency under a Ford-People party ticket in 2002.

Nyachae was also a businessman with investments in the banking, agriculture, manufacturing, and construction sectors around the country.

He was among the major shareholders of the NCBA Group alongside the Kenyatta family, Naushad Merali, and the late Central Bank governor, Philip Ndegwa, according to Business Daily.

Nyachae had five wives and 20 children.

If ever, I ever stole, killed, decapacitated anyone, contributed in any manner or form, to hurt or cause harm to anyone, oooh Lord put me where I belong. The doubles I toil to fill up my empty account is all gotten from lack of sleep, fatigue bra bra bra. Like PC Mathenge, PC Mahihu, PC Yusuf Hajji, PC Chemboiyo, PC Joseph Kaguthi, Agrey Mudinyu, PC Bore etc, PC Charles Nyachae grabbed and stole any bare land that came his way, and left a trail of land thievery ever seen since independence. With his big-mouthed and perennual Kisii anger, Nyachae used his stolen loot to own among others, Sunsora bakery(Kisii), Nyanjepana bakery(Gilgil), Mathenya land buying company which he co-owned it with PC Mathenge. He owned vast real estate wherever he became a provincial commissioner, stealing for himself and for his boss Moi. Strange how God designed the destiny of his creatures, such that when illness or death comes beckoning, and when He flags off your journey to a six by four mole hole, no wealth, no power, nothing can stop the death reggae. May Nyachae join his nemesis in hell just like all PCs of his time, all DCs of his time, Moi, Biwott, Bargetuny, Kamotho, Sharif Nassir, Kamangara, Kariuki Chotara, Mama Wanjiru Steel, William Ole Ntimama, Ole Tipis, Lotondo, Oloitiptip, and all those thieves who swore in Kenyattas and Mois names that Kenyans will live in abject poverty as long as they live.

All the political mouth piece (the usual suspects) led by Raila are on their way to Gusii-land, armed with their BBI political diarrhea on how they gonna split and share our nation among themselves- all they need to get loose is a dead body of one of their fellow corrupt eaters and an open mic: " Mzee was a great man" they will shout, "-- hear me out-hear me out,-- with BBI referendum, all our problems are gone! no more corruption, no more ethnic hatred, no more land stealing problems, no more mpango wa kando, no more lack of inclusivity, prosperity will be shared equally {but only among elite thieves} and there will be peace in the land and ICC, a thing of the past -just like magic! Gone, just like that! They will pass mics around among pre-screened speakers and recycle the old tired garbage as their helpless gullible listeners scratch their hungry tummies in confusion. And this is also a great time to declare Fred Matiang'i as the next president of Kenya.

I thought his family said he was ok....?
After all the looting and murders committed....
The only thing that makes all of equal is death.
Can someone post pictures of the burial..I want to see how many caskets full of loot that will follow him to his grave.
But RIP..
UKWELI USEMWE....TRUTH BE TOLD.
