Kenyan Singer Otile Brown Flaunts New Sh80,000 Crocs Boots

Celebrated Kenyan singer Jacob Obunga, alias Otile Brown, has set the internet abuzz after gifting himself Crocs boots worth Sh80,000 on his birthday.

Otile, who is celebrating his 30th birthday in South Africa, shared on Instagram a video showing him unpacking a pair of the famous Crocs boots by fashion powerhouse Balenciaga.

“Out here doing too much haven’t even found time to post something. Happy birthday to me. I appreciate y’all for the love and support always. Going crazy all week,” Otile wrote on Instagram.

A pair of the trendy crocs boots retails at $695 (Sh79,473), according to the Balenciaga website.

The Balenciaga Crocs 2.0 are a collaboration between Balenciaga and Crocs, and were popularized by American rapper Kanye West, who was pictured waring them in the streets of Los Angeles last month.

The gumboot-style shoes combine the functionality of a rain boot with the relaxed feel of a Crocs clog.

The boots have become popular in recent months, with celebrities such as Jordyn Woods and Justin Bieber wearing them.

In January, Otile made history after becoming the first Kenyan artiste to hit the one million subscribers mark on YouTube. Otile, who joined the video streaming platform on April 20th, 2016, has since garnered over 272 million views on his channel.

In February, the ‘Mapenzi Hisia’ hitmaker was awarded the YouTube Gold Creator award popularly known as the Golden Plaque, which is awarded to users who cross the one million subscribers mark.

Good for him. Genuine celebrities have a HARD time finding products in their price range, everything too cheap. The Croc company was to go bankrupt when they partnered with Balenciaga and it's marketing genius cause poor fans will once more buy the crocs at premium.

People are so ignorant. Let that guy be with his croc boots. I also want to get me a pair of Hunter boots. He hasn’t spent anyone’s money.

Those boots cost $7.50 in Walmart. Ignorance is very damaging and foolish. The boots are worn by those who clean urinals in rest area places along the US highways.

Who pays such kind of money for shamba boats? What kind is foolishness is this? The problem with black people is the constant desire to compete and show off at a very irresponsible cost. Does this singer really know he can get the same pair of wet weather boots for $10?

Does this musician have a mother to advise him? I say the mother because if he had a wife, she would have left him for being an idiot. How does he spend 80k on crap while how own neighbor’s kids sleep hungry?
