Watu Waache Upuzi: Uhuru Slams Ruto for Making Empty Promises to Kenyans
President Kenyatta has castigated Deputy President William Ruto for what he termed as making empty promises to Kenyans ahead of the August 9th general elections.
In a thinly-veiled attack, Kenyatta slammed Ruto for criticizing the performance of the same government he servers, adding that the deputy president failed to deliver and abandoned his duties to engage in premature campaigns.
“...mimi nasikitika nikiona wengine ng'we ng'we, mtu amekuwa huku amepewa kazi badala ya kazi ni mdomo, alafu sasa tutafanya, na tutafanya…kwa nini hukufanya wakati ulikuwa huko?” Kenyatta posed.
“Hii mambo ya makelele kila saa, kichwa yako ni makelele huko na huku, watu wawache upuzi. Wanafikiria ukienda huko uone mtu ako na shida…mimi nitatatua hiyo. Kwa nini hukutatua huko mbele? Mwache kuniletea bwana!”
Kenyatta, who spoke on Saturday during the National Council for Ushirika Day at KICC in Nairobi, further defended Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya’s track record, saying he has streamlined the sector since he took over from Ruto’s ally Mwangi Kinjuri three years ago.
“Munya here in three years has brought changes in the agricultural sector, they were there for eight years, what did they do? They are the ones who don’t understand,” he remarked.
At the same time, the president called on Kenyans to “think very hard” before electing leaders as the country heads to the polls in 37 days.
“Lakini vile nimesema ni shauri yenu, nobody is forcing anyone to do anything. Lakini fikirieni, think very hard. You build on what you have taken, you take it forward. You are given responsibilities to go forward not to go backward,” Uhuru advised.
“Kama wewe kazi yako ni kuangalia rear view mirror, huna chochote unaweza kuambia mtu pahali unataka kuenda...kazi yako ni kuangalia yule alifanya…yule alichukua bibi yangu; kama alichukua bibi yako si utafute mwingine! We want to move forward, if there are problems, let's correct them and move forward.”

Mr. President, Yes we want to move forward but not with Raila. Raila is our past. An old man is not capable of leading a young generation. He has been in government one way or the other for over 40 years.
Raila attempted to take the Presidency by force in the 1982 Coup.
He took Kibaki's government by force, 2nd term- Nusu Mkate
Raila took Nusu Mkate from your own government by swearing himself as people's President against God and against our constitution.
How many Kenyans have died in Raila's hand including the Gikuyu's he had burned in the house of God in order for him to become Prime Minister?
Mr. President Raila is your preferred candidate but he is our dirty past and we refuse to go there.
